The Student Managed Fund (SMF) program requires you to make a commitment to participate in the SMF for the full semesters of Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. SMF is a significant commitment which entails the full fiduciary responsibility of money management. It is understood that after you accept an appointment as a SMF manager, you have committed to serve for the full semesters of Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. All managers are required to contribute to SMF activities such as reports to the IAB and Foundation, team presentations, and a one and five year report. Furthermore, you must be available for at least one to two meetings during the week for the Fund based on the needs of the instructor and/or team. Each meeting is about 2 hours long. In addition to the meetings, your schedule must permit commitment of time to the Fund for research, analysis, and writing of reports. 1. I am committed to serve as an SMF manager for both the fall and spring semesters. 2. I will attend all SMF classes, meetings, presentations to the IAB and the UConn Foundation.
