Once you have been admitted to the School of Business as a transfer student, there are few steps you can take prior to Orientation to help ensure a smooth transition to your new School of Business major.
Prior to orientation (required), review your transfer credit evaluation which is sent to you from UConn Admissions Office after you have been accepted. Credit evaluations are posted on a rolling basis in the Student Administration System for new transfer students before your scheduled orientation session.
Note which courses UConn accepted and what course it was accredited as. Compare the list of courses for which you received credit to your major Plan of Study to see what remaining requirements you should plan to take once you arrive.
If you have any questions about transfer credit, please make sure to get a copy of the course syllabi for each individual course you have questions about and bring this with you to orientation. Any business student seeking exception to a degree requirement may request this through a Substitution Request form in consultation with their Academic Advisor. A syllabus is required to be submitted for any request, and may require further evaluation from the departmetn in which you are seeking credit.
