Session Option A: Developing Your Personal Roadmap to Career Success - BUSN 112- Presented by Nell D'Auria and Yianni Constantinou

  • What’s your major? What do you want to do after college? Daunting questions, right? Many of the most successful businesspeople in the world couldn’t answer those questions as college first years. What they did know was what they were good at and what they enjoyed doing. Come learn how to build your own personal roadmap of interests and experiences to guide you towards a career you will love! Also meet Yianni, the BCLC’s Workforce Readiness Specialist, who will introduce you to the opportunities and guidance this position has to exclusively offer you. 

Session Option B: Intercultural Competency in Business - BUSN 122- Presented by Arminda Kamphausen and Ann Keim

  • In today’s globalized economy, businesses are working across borders now more than ever, and the need for diverse teams and clients is vital. Join Arminda Kamphausen and Ann Keim to better understand cultural dimensions, communication strategies, as well as opportunities through UConn, the School of Business, and Experiential Global Learning that will help you be better suited for success in internships, study abroad, and career opportunities!

Session Option D: Unlocking Your Future: Navigating Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) - BUSN 204- Presented by Fernando Macaro and Katherine Granger

  • Are you ready to take the first step toward becoming a future leader in your organization? Join us for an engaging session with Travelers, where we will delve into the world of Leadership Development Programs (LDPs). This session will provide a comprehensive overview of what LDPs are, how they differ from traditional full-time positions, and the unique opportunities they offer.  During this interactive discussion, we'll also explore how these programs cultivate critical competencies such as strategic thinking, effective communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence—skills that organizations highly value in future leaders.

Arminda Kamphausen

Director, Global & Sustainability Initiatives

Bio: Arminda Kamphausen serves as the Director for Global & Sustainability Initiatives and directs the GE Global Learning Center in the School of Business. Hired in 2015 as the Associate Director for the school’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), she now manages the school’s international memberships in U21, UN PRME (Principles of Responsible Management Education) and the GBSN (Global Business School Network).  Arminda collaborates regularly with UConn’s Global Affairs office, Global Partnerships, Experiential Global Learning, the BCLC, and the Office of Sustainability to facilitate connections that enrich student experience and faculty research in the areas of international higher-ed exchange, inter-cultural competencies, and responsible global business leadership for positive societal and environmental impact. She initiated and leads the school’s annual Global Business Leadership in Sustainability Summit (GBLSS) and teaches BADM 1801: CQ for the Global Marketplace. She advises the Global Business Ambassadors, and the UConn Net Impact chapter. She unashamedly promotes the great work of the School of Business and is always eager to connect with new partners for collaboration in the global or sustainable business space.

Ann Keim

Bio: Ann joined Experiential Global Learning in 2022. She advises students in the School of Business, the School of Engineering, School of Nursing and a number of CLAS majors. A Connecticut native, Ann graduated with a B.S. from Northeastern University, where she majored in Health Science and minored in Business. In the spring of 2015, Ann studied in Ireland, at the University College Dublin where she focused on courses for her Business minor. She holds her Masters in Higher Education and Student Personnel from the University of Mississippi. Prior to UConn, Ann worked in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Mississippi. As an undergraduate Ann served as a Peer Advisor in Northeastern’s Global Experience Office helping fellow students identify study abroad opportunities. Ann is passionate about international education and travel.

Randy Siller '79

Bio: Randy received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the UConn School of Business in 1979, graduating with distinction. He continued his academic career at Pace University earning his Masters in Taxation as well as completing Harvard University’s financial leadership program.

Randy earned the designations of Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Investment Management Analyst in conjunction with the Wharton School of Business.

Randy started in Big 8 Accounting with Coopers & Lybrand and Touche Ross, then became a Tax Planning Director at CIGNA Individual Finance Services. There he met Jeff Cohen, and together they founded Siller & Cohen Family Wealth Advisors over 30 years ago.

While affiliated with Lincoln Financial Advisors, Randy ran Lincoln’s Metro NY/NJ region.  Under Randy’s leadership, as Regional CEO, the region grew in revenue and profitability from the middle of the pack to number 1, out of 40 regions, in only 3 years.

Today Siller & Cohen is a nationally recognized financial advisory firm which manages over $1 billion in investments and over $1 billion in life insurance.

Randy is a member of the UConn School of Business’ Dean’s Advisory Cabinet, where he serves on the Publicity Subcommittee. He also serves on the Hightower Advisors Executive Leadership Committee. He was recently the Chair of the NYS Society of CPA’s Estate Planning Committee and has been featured in Marshall Loeb’s best-selling financial advice books.

Philanthropy has always been important to Randy. He has served on the board of the Community Health Care Network for over 10 years and has created a donor-advised fund that is managed by his daughters. He created the Siller Family Leadership Scholarship which provides a student annually with a cost of attendance scholarship in addition to a Scholarship in the NEAG School of Education in honor of his father, Bernard, who was an educator.

Randy is an avid UConn basketball fan and has always enjoyed going to games, including the 2023 Final Four where the men won the championship!

Randy lives in NYC with his wife Sheri. He is very proud of his 3 daughters-Meredith, Stefanie, and Isabella- and his granddaughter Samara. Meredith, a JD, is a psychotherapist and general counsel for a nonprofit. Stefanie, a PhD who teaches at Columbia University as a science fellow, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with Randy. Isabella, a 7th grader, has performed with the Broadway cast of Six.
